Speeding in Little Rissington
Little Rissington Parish Council has for some years engaged with Gloucestershire County Council to try to make the roads in the village safer for residents and visitors.
In March 2025, at the request of Little Rissington Parish Council, Gloucestershire County Council carried out a traffic survey on the road through the village. This revealed several patterns in the traffic on this road, including:
- Although the speed limit is 20 mph the mean speed was over 26 mph, with the majority (85th percentile) travelling at 31 mph or less.
- Approximately 4% of vehicles were heavy goods vehicles or coaches.
